Editorial Standards
How Podiatrify decides what to publish, how content is labeled, and how products and recognition are verified.
Scope
Podiatrify publishes only content that directly relates to the foot, ankle, lower-extremity biomechanics, podiatric surgery, diabetic foot disease, limb preservation, footwear, orthotics, podiatric wound care, foot or ankle rehabilitation. Every item passes an automated podiatry guardrail and editorial review. General medical content without a direct foot or ankle link is not published.
Content labels

- Clinical Review Written for clinicians and podiatric medical students.

Recognition and claims
FDA clearance, FDA approval, APMA seals, evidence-supported claims, and manufacturer claims are different things. They are never shown as equivalent, and unverified statuses are always labeled as unverified.
Authors and credentials
Author credentials reflect verified status only. Podiatrify does not describe authors as board certified, surgeons, attending physicians, or fellowship trained unless verified.
Privacy
FootCheck photos stay in the browser and are not uploaded or stored. If image storage is introduced, images will be kept separate from account information in private storage with deletion controls. Podiatrify does not describe itself as HIPAA compliant.
